Mary Little is an artist with a designer sensitivity, having trained at the Royal College of Art in London in Furniture Design. Little spent two decades exploring the technical and conceptual possibilities of making shapes through fabrics. Her studio specializes in creating custom-made furniture for private clients. With fabric, shadow, and light she creates patterns that allow people to relate to each other within a meditative environment. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Vitra Design Museum in Basel and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Her commissions and works have been acquired by private collections in Europe and North America, as well as by public collections including that of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. In 2019 she received the prestigious Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant and currently lives in Los Angeles.
